Responsible

Director of Client Care Aide/Homecare
Services Manager
Description:
Provides support services in the home setting, including cleaning,
laundry, window washing, meal preparation,
shopping and other home-based services.

JOB
DUTIES/KNOWLEDGE |

1. Performs housecleaning and
other household services such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning
bathrooms, scrubbing, sweeping, glass cleaning, bedmaking,
etc. as requested in the client plan of care or special
instructions from the client. |

2. Performs support services,
such as meal preparation, laundry, grocery shopping, errands
and transporting clients to appointments within the guidelines
of the written plan of care. |

3. Recognizes and reports
changes in the client’s expectations of services and condition
promptly to the support services manager. |

4. Records activities and
submits time cards and other forms promptly and accurately
according to policy. |

5. Uses cleaning equipment and
supplies responsibly. Takes care to prevent breakage in the
home. |

6. Attends at least two hours
of in-service programming annually. |

QUALIFICATION
-
Takes oral and written instruction well.

Minimum of six months of experience in
housecleaning or closely related area with demonstrated skills.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate skills of
communicating with individuals of all ages, especially the
geriatric population.
DEGREE OF TRAVEL
Home visits daily. Periodic office meetings. Must have reliable
transportation and agency-required liability insurance.
DEGREE OF DISRUPTION TO ROUTINE, OVERTIME
Must be able to adapt to client status and needs as directed.
Schedule changes daily, due to staffing, client condition and
needs, new clients, etc. SAFETY HAZARDS IN JOB
Possible infections from clients, auto accidents, unsafe
neighborhoods.
