SRHHS Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program is a State of Illinois approved 8 week course designed to prepare the student for employment as a CNA in a variety of healthcare settings. Learn more by following this link, CNA Training Program.

Why Spoon River Home Health Services Training Program?

Class Fee of 1250.00 Includes:

• Text and Workbook

• TB Test

• CPR Certification

• Blood Pressure Cuff

• Stethoscope

• Uniform

• Gait Belt

Admission Requirements:

• Minimum 16 years of age

• Able to speak, understand, and read English language

• Completion of our online application process

• Program interviewer approval after having a face to face interview

• $40.00 fee will be required at the time of the interview if you have not had an IDPH fingerprint-based criminal history records check. This is non-refundable

• $450.00 deposit required prior to entering the program. The remaining $800.00 may be paid in $160.00 weekly installments over the first five weeks of the program.

Course Requirements:

• Attend 80 hours of theory

• Attend 40 hours of clinical in a long term care facility setting

• Successful completion of 21 manual skills

• Successful completion of final examination

Course Schedule:

• Theory is held the first 6 weeks of class on Tuesday thru Friday from 9a to 3p

• Clinical is held the last 2 weeks of class from Tuesday thru Thursday

Course Objectives:

The student will demonstrate a basic understanding of:

• Resident Rights

• Communications

• Infection Control

• Body Mechanics

• Emergency Procedures

• CPR Certifications

• Alzheimer's Disease and other related Dementia Care
